What's New at Abbott EMS
Abbott EMS Signs Ambulance Contract with the VA
Abbott EMS of Missouri is proud to announce that it has signed a new, five-year contract with the Veterans Administration to provide ambulance services to the Missouri Veterans Administration medical facilities. "This contract between Abbott EMS and the VA represents the continuation of a partnership in service to veterans that has lasted more than 15 years," said Tracey Swabby, Abbott's Business Development Manager. "The key to this long-standing relationship," she added, "has always been the dedication of our crews to excellent customer service and the highest quality of patient care."
Abbott EMS Adds Powered Stretchers in All Ambulances
In an effort to increase the safety of both its caregivers and its patients, Abbott EMS recently completed crew training for and the addition of Stryker Power-Pro powered ambulance cots as standard equipment in all of its ambulances in both the Missouri and Illinois operations. "These stretchers are a major investment on the part of the company, but we are convinced they will make a huge difference in protecting our crews from lifting injuries," said Lloyd Henry, Abbott EMS Safety/Risk Manager. "In addition, if crews are not in danger of injuring themselves while lifting patients," he added, "their patients will also be safer." |
